BE PRESENT--BE HERE NOW--Start to access your life-altering capabilities

As much as we want to improve our lives, we humans tend to remain “stuck” on many ways, unable to change what we don’t like. Why is that?

First, there’s a lot we don’t know about how things work and a lot we assume is true that is actually inaccurate.

For example, we tend to make little distinction between the past, the present and the future. We spend time in all three timeframes, depending on our mood and what we feel will bring us the most joy. And, yes, some memories provide great joy. And the fulfillment of our desires in the future also is exciting and brings great joy. So, I understand why we do it.

But, in truth, and what you really, really want to understand, is that there is only one timeframe that delivers what we desire and enables us to improve the quality of our life experience.

It’s this NOW-MOMENT. Said another way, time doesn’t exist the way we think it does. In reality there is only “Now.” (I know, that’s hard to grasp so please take my word for it. Only “Now” is real. Only “Now” exists. All other time is an illusion, imagined, non-existent.

The past is only a memory we’ve stored in our minds. The future is only a projection of our imagination. So, in reality, they don’t exist.

That means when you’re spending time recalling and reliving your past, you’ve disconnected yourself from right now as well as your power to be present and improve things in your life now. Likewise with the future.

Starting right now, learn to bring yourself back into the present moment more often. How?

Train yourself to change how you breathe.

We humans tend to be shallow breathers: We don’t breathe in much air (oxygen). Instead, as a rule, when we breathe lightly and take in air by lifting our shoulders. (Do you? Watch yourself!)

Instead, start intentionally breathing deeply!

Start by relaxing your stomach muscles completely. Let your belly totally relax. (Nobody’s looking!)

Next, relax your jaw and your neck and drop your shoulders. Just doing this is largely relax your hole body so you can take in so much more air and health-giving oxygen.

Now deliberately inhale, taking in as much air as you comfortably can and sending it down into your gut. It may seem it’s getting all the way to your pelvic floor.

Now exhale by relaxing your stomach muscles. As you do, you’ll notice the air you inhaled simply rises up and out, while you and everything in you, stay totally relaxed.

That simple action just performed a minor healing on your body’s cells by bringing them new oxygen…brought you into a new, relaxed state you may not have enjoyed in a while…and also brought you more into the present moment where you can access your ability to make big positive changes in your life. (And that, of course, is what my work is all about.)
